Man faces attempted murder charge after stabbing in Chattanooga

A 27-year-old man is facing attempted murder charges after the Monday morning stabbing of a woman in Chattanooga.

The victim, who has not been identified, was found outside a home in the 3200 block of Navajo Drive about 7 a.m. on a report of a person suffering from stab wounds, Chattanooga police said in a news release.

She was taken to a local hospital by Hamilton County Emergency Services. Her wounds are considered life-threatening and she is listed in critical condition.

Police have charged Carlos Delposo with attempted murder and aggravated domestic assault.

It could not be immediately confirmed if Delposo was the same male suspect who was taken to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS earlier in the day. Police said in an earlier news release that a suspect was being treated for non-life-threatening wounds.
