One Georgia restaurant failed not once - but twice - as the health inspector found a refrigerator floor covered in raw ground beef juice and tobacco products stored on the food prep area, among other citations.
A failing score is considered any score below a 70.
Brainerd Motorsports Park on Scruggs Road failed the first time with a score of 47 before failing again with a score just 14 points higher.
The health inspector found raw meat being prepared on the same table as ready-to-eat food without sanitizing between uses and raw meat being stored with ready-to-eat food.
Herman's Soul Food on Brainerd Road was 14 points away from failing with a score of 84, as the restaurant was cited for storing onions on the floor, not rodent-proofing a screen door, storing cleaning supplies improperly and having incorrect cooling temperatures. The score was then corrected to a 94.
Full Moon Burger & Bar was given a higher score of 87 but was cited for dirty rags on countertops, a manager eating at a food prep table in the kitchen and storing window cleaning chemicals on a shelf above food. The score was later corrected to a 97.
