A 34-year-old Chattanooga man has been charged with raping two teenage girls after smoking marijuana with them.

A Chattanooga police officer spoke with one of the alleged victims, a 15-year-old girl, who said she and a friend, also 15, were smoking with Mohammed Khan, 34, on March 27 when she started to feel so "heavy" she couldn't move well, according to court documents.

She told police Khan began to say they were going to have sex, but the girl said she didn't want to so he raped her. The girl said she believed the marijuana was laced and she could not fight him off. The man also raped her friend shortly after, she told police.

In the second alleged incident, sometime between April 17 and April 21, the girl told police she and her friend were hanging out in her room when the man came in, smoked marijuana and raped her.

Police contacted the second girl and she confirmed the first girl's story, adding that she believed the marijuana was laced. She also said Khan told both girls not to tell anyone or he would hurt them.

Kahn has been charged with two counts of aggravated statutory rape because of the age difference between him and his alleged victims. His next court appearance is scheduled Jan. 2 before Hamilton County General Sessions Judge Christine Sell.
