Billy Carl JonesA former employee of the DeKalb County schools has been charged on multiple counts related to having sex with a student, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators arrested Billy Carl Jones, 52, of Fyffe, on Friday, a news release states.
The release said Jones was an employee of the school system when an investigation began in December, but it didn't say when he left that employment.
Evidence was turned over to a grand jury, which indicted Jones on two counts of sex acts with a student and one count of soliciting sex from a student.
Jones was booked into the DeKalb County Detention Center and released on a $60,000 bond, the release states.
