Grundy County, Tenn., authorities are asking for help locating a Tracy City man who has been missing since Friday.
Sheriff Clint Shrum said 25-year-old Brandon Lee Price was last seen about 10 a.m. CST Friday at his home on Clifford Dykes Road, a dead-end road in a remote area a couple of miles southwest of Tracy City and Grundy State Forest.
Brandon Lee PriceFamily members told authorities that Price is very reclusive and rarely leaves home. Information on Price has been entered into the National Crime Information Center and a statewide bulletin has been issued, Shrum said.
Price has lived in Franklin County and officials have checked with family members there but didn't uncover any leads. Authorities have found no evidence of foul play, Shrum said.
"We don't think there's any illegal activity going on, either," Shrum said.
Authorities had one report of a possible sighting of someone matching Price's description walking in the Clouse Hill Road area late Saturday night, Shrum said, but deputies responding to the area didn't find anyone.
On Saturday, the Tennessee Highway Patrol's helicopter assisted with an aerial search before search teams started looking on the ground.
"THP searched all afternoon [Saturday] and did not see anything so, based on that, we used some tracking dogs from the Bledsoe County Correctional Complex and we covered the entire perimeter of the home and didn't pick up his scent," Shrum said Tuesday.
The sheriff said cold weather hampered the search over the weekend.
"It didn't even get out of the teens on Saturday," he said.
Searchers have talked with hunters and area residents but didn't discover any clues, Shrum said.
When he was last seen Price was wearing a red Adidas hoodie, a flannel undershirt with a gray hood, black jeans and white tennis shoes. Authorities are circulating Price's driver's license photo in hopes someone will recognize him.
