Three gang members arrested Wednesday night at a local entertainment venue may face federal weapons charges, Chattanooga police say.

Police spokeswoman Elisa Myzal said police were called to 5518 Brainerd Road, which is the address of Spare Time Chattanooga, which offers bowling, family entertainment and more. The caller reported a suspect in a shooting was present.

She said officers first found James Geter, a convicted felon and gang member, who was carrying a loaded handgun and marijuana. Police searched the building and found two more men in the stalls of the women's restroom, and a fourth, also armed with a handgun, elsewhere in the building.

Myzal said a police dog alerted on another firearm in one of the men's vehicle.

In her news release, Myzal said, "Focused Deterrence Officers believe the arrests of these individuals stopped potential violent acts before they happened last night." She said the Violent Crimes Bureau also has more leads to follow in other gange-related crime.

Those arrested are Geter, 23, who is charged with possession a firearm with intent to go armed and during commission or attempt to commit a felony, and with drugs for resale;

Michael Jones, 21, charged with possessing a firearm with intent to go armed and during commission of a dangerous felony;

Dartangan Rollins, 22, charged with violating probation on a charge of possessing a controlled substance;

Brandon Rakestraw, 20, charge with possessing a firearm with intent of going armed, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and five counts of violating probation on assault, marijuana and weapons charges.
