Cleveland police investigating shooting on 14th Street

Cleveland Police Department officers responded to the 600 block of 14th St NW at 12:12 a.m. this morning in reference to calls regarding shots fired.

A large gathering of some type was taking place at the address when a fight broke out. Officers attempted to interview multiple witnesses, who were located outside of the residence, but they were uncooperative.

During the course of the investigation, one of the persons located in the area was wanted on an outstanding warrant. During the search of his person, an unloaded hi-point handgun was found. The handgun was placed in evidence as the investigation continues.

EMS responded to the scene and treated individuals for minor injuries not related to gunfire.

CPD investigators from the Criminal Investigations Division have been at the scene conducting a follow-up investigation.
