Authorities in Grundy County, Tenn., have made an arrest in a pharmacy burglary from Thanksgiving Day 2016, officials said.

Sheriff Clint Shrum said in a statement on the arrest that 58-year-old Palmer, Tenn., resident Andy King and another man broke into the pharmacy. Now, King is charged with aggravated burglary and vandalism. King is already incarcerated with the Tennessee Department of Corrections on other charges, Shrum said.

Lead investigator Greg Higgins broke the case after processing some leads that came to his attention of the past few weeks, Shrum said.

"Captain Higgins has been diligent about solving this case," Shrum said. "His persistence paid off early this week."

King faces a court date Aug. 10.

Shrum said more arrests and additional charges are expected to be filed later this month.
