Allen A Brunet, a 36-year-old Chattanooga man, died when his van veered off the road and crashed into a tree.
Burnet's Chevy van was traveling north on Amnicola Highway when it veered off the roadway just before a railroad overpass.
Burnet was pinned inside the vehicle and succumbed to his injuries, according to a news release from the police.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
