Eleven people were taken to area hospitals after a serious single vehicle crash Friday night, according to Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The 2004 Toyota Sequoia was traveling on Highway 156 in Marion County on South Pittsburg Mountain near the Franklin County line. All 11 people were in the vehicle.
Initial reports show the SUV left the road, and the driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to veer onto the road before overturning, rolling down an embankment and hitting a tree.
