LOS ANGELES (AP) - A family spokesman for Bud Yorkin says the film and TV producer best known for his work on the pioneering sitcom "All in the Family" has died.
Spokesman Jeff Sanderson says Yorkin died at his home in the Bel-Air area of Los Angeles on Tuesday. Sanderson says Yorkin died of natural causes. He was 89.
Yorkin worked with partner Norman Lear to direct and co-produce breakthrough 1970s TV sitcoms including "Maude" and "The Jeffersons" along with "All in the Family."
In a statement, Lear says he couldn't have loved or appreciated Yorkin more.
