HAMPTON, N.H. (AP) - Jeb Bush says Donald Trump is "too pessimistic," and that picking the businessman as the Republican presidential nominee would lead the party to defeat on Election Day.
Bush was campaigning in New Hampshire on Thursday, and acknowledged that Trump was tapping into understandable anger among voters.
But Bush says Trump isn't offering hope with his rhetoric about immigrants, which has angered Hispanic leaders.
Earlier in the day, Bush said in a television interview that Trump was trying to "insult his way" to the presidency. That came in reply to question about Trump's telling the former Florida governor to "speak English."
Bush often drops Spanish into his campaign speeches. He did so in New Hampshire when he urged Republicans to campaign with "brazos abiertos" - Spanish for "open arms."
