NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities are investigating after a decomposing body was found in northeast Nashville.
Multiple news outlets report that Metro Nashville police say the body was discovered Monday evening in a ditch in the city's Madison neighborhood.
Few details have been released, but The Tennessean reports that police say the body was female. An approximate age couldn't immediately be determined because of the level of decomposition.
Investigators also could not immediately determine whether or not foul play was involved. An autopsy will be performed.
