Tennessee fugitive captured

A Tennessee fugitive who has been on the run from police since July was captured this morning attempting to break into an auto repair shop in Chattanooga.

Arthur Milks, 38, was arrested early this morning and the Tennessee Department of Corrections are making arrangements to return him to the state prison.

On July 25, Milks climbed a razor-wire fence in Henderson county jail and hid from police until he could escape unnoticed.

He fled to Alabama and Georgia before he was caught in Chattanooga.

Milks has been convicted on 31 charges including burglary, vandalism and auto theft in Florida and Tennessee since 1990 and escaped from jail at least once before.
