Bradley man faces child porn charges

A Bradley County, Tenn., man has been arrested on child pornography charges and is accused of producing pornography with a local child.

Tyler Walker, 23, was charged Wednesday with possession, distribution and production of child pornography in a case investigated by the Bradley County Sheriff's Office's Internet Crimes Against Children division.

"We found there was a local victim in this case," Bradley County Sheriff's Office spokesman Bob Gault said.

Walker's formal charges include sexual exploitation of a minor, aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.

Gault said the especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor stems from child pornography that investigators believe Walker produced himself.

According to the sheriff's office, Walker's computer was seized and 70 child porn images were found on the computer's hard drive.

Walker is being held on $50,000 bond in the Bradley County Jail.

No information was available Wednesday on when Walker might appear in Bradley County Criminal Court.

Detective Dewayne Scoggins, Bradley County ICAC supervisor, said investigations could take months because of having to scour the Internet or seized computers. He added they also investigate crimes involving "sexting" where someone sends explicit images or messages over a cell phone.

Scoggins said, "The big picture is we investigate any crimes against children."

Scoggins said ICAC has a tip hot line, 423-728-7336, to report any information pertaining to child pornography, sexual exploitation or enticement of children over the Internet.
