Chattanooga SWAT negotiators talk man out of home without incident

Chattanooga police SWAT negotiators talked a man out of his home this morning after he had barricaded himself following a domestic dispute.

Police arrived at the 100-block Hemphill Avenue home at 11 a.m. where Stacey Artress had called from saying she "feared for the safety of her husband," according to a police release.

She told police her husband, Harry Artress, had assaulted her after a dispute over money problems. Stacey then fled their home and Harry threatened to hurt himself.

Negotiators made contact with Harry and were able to talk him out of the home after a second contact. He was charged with domestic simple assault.
