2010 Photos of the Year

From the rubble of earthquake-ravaged Haiti to the rolling hills of suburban Chattanooga where Volkswagen is preparing a $1 billion plant, Times Free Press photographers documented many facets of life in 2010.

This year, the newspaper's photographers have covered nearly 4,000 news, sports and features assignments while capturing more than 100,000 images. About 35,000 images made it into the Times Free Press archives, along with hours upon hours of edited video.

The most memorable images of the last 12 months have been compiled for you to go back and review. These "Photos of the Year" where chosen by the visuals staff.
