Red Bank Mayor Joe Glasscock said he was unaware of the city manager's decision to fire the police chief.
City Manager Chris Dorsey today fired Red Bank Police Chief Larry Sneed.
Mr. Glasscock said he had "no inkling" the firing was going to happen. The mayor said Sgt. Dan Knight, who head the transportation division, will serve as interim chief.
