Investigators arrest two juveniles in Shady Hollow Lane homicide

Hamilton County Sheriff's investigators have two 17-year-old men in custody in connection with the shooting death of 21-year-old Darrian Levon Moore. Both are charged with felony murder and aggravated robbery.

Moore died of a single gunshot wound to the head on July 21. His father, Charles Moore, heard his son pull into the driveway of their 5802 Shady Hollow Lane home. When he checked on him a short time later, found his son in the car with the head wound.

During news conference this afternoon, Sheriff Jim Hammond said investigators had pursued leads and arrested the two juveniles late Tuesday afternoon. The suspects live in a nearby neighborhood.

The sheriff said this appears to be a botched robbery and has no gang or drug connection.

The sheriff declined to release the names of the suspects because of their age.

More arrests may follow as detectives continue to investigate.
