Mistrial granted in Younger murder case

The trial for the 11-year-old capital murder case of Michael "Money" Younger was declared a mistrial Saturday morning.

Mr. Younger faces first-degree murder and especially aggravated robbery charges in the Valentine's Day 1999 deaths of O.J. Blair, Cayci Higgins and Dawn Rogers. He is the third defendant in the case.

Proceedings in the case have been moved to Tuesday morning at 9 a.m.

The jurors were to be sequestered for the trial, which began Friday.

Prosecutor Richard Fisher declined comment on the mistrial, saying the judge had instilled a gag order on the case.
