State braces for widespread impact of UT system cutbacks

Students in Chattanooga, employees at the Health Science Center in Memphis and farmers in every county across Tennessee soon will be grappling with the effects of massive University of Tennessee budget cuts.

While half of the reductions will be taken in Knoxville, which has by far the largest budget of all of the system's campuses and institutes, people across the state will be affected by the cuts, said system and campus administrators.
