Dalton couple arrested in credit card case

A Dalton husband and wife were arrested Tuesday and charged with using stolen credit cards, police said.

Brandon and Anna Lively were spotted several hours after police believe they stole a woman's purse at the Shugart Road Walmart using a small girl as a decoy, Dalton Police Department spokesman Bruce Frazier said.

The couple, who had two children with them, were arrested in Sears and each charged with one count of theft by taking, identity fraud and financial card fraud, Frazier said. The stolen credit cards had been used at other local stores, he said.

A woman said she was shopping Tuesday afternoon in the children's shoe section of Walmart when she noticed her purse was missing, Frazier said.

On a store video police saw a woman later identified as Anna Lively, 29, pass the victim pushing a shopping cart with a baby carrier inside. Lively was seen snatching the purse and walking away, Frazier said.

Then Brandon Lively, 26, was spotted pushing the same cart with a little girl inside, Frazier said.

The children were sent home with a relative, Frazier said.
