Two people were arrested in Hamilton County after officers investigated a shots fired call this morning, authorities said.

Willy Cunningham and Dustin Frisbee were charged with attempted first-degree murder while involved in a drug transaction, Hamilton County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Janice Atkinson said in a news release.

The investigation found that Cunningham and Frisbee both fired shots during a drug deal about 8:15 a.m. at 2219 Standing Rock Road in Signal Mountain. Officers found drugs on the property and a methamphetamine lab in the woods, Atkinson said.

Deputies found Frisbee with a semi-automatic handgun. Cunningham suffered minor injuries, Atkinson said.
