Chattanooga car burglary suspect sought

A suspect in a car burglary is this weekend's Crime Stoppers target.

Chattanooga police said a woman called Nov. 21 from 711 Eastgate Loop to report someone had broken out the driver's side window of her car and stolen her Garmin GPS.

Police have obtained warrants against Montez Birt on charges of burglary, theft and vandalism.

Birt, 26, is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. His last known address is 1102 E. 32nd St., Chattanooga.

Anyone with information on Birt's whereabouts could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000. Call 423-698-3333.
