A man involved in the 2018 home invasion slaying of a Hickory Valley Road man has pleaded guilty to murder, according to a post on the Hamilton County District Attorney's Office Facebook page.

Miles Hankins entered into a deal with prosecutors in which he pleaded guilty to second degree murder in Hamilton County Criminal Court on Thursday. Hankins was initially charged with criminal homicide and especially aggravated robbery in the June 29, 2018, murder of Christopher Robinson, 46.

Assistant District Attorney AnCharlene Davis said Hankins shot at twins Michael and Martin Wilson at the Glass Street Market on June 28, 2018, before breaking into Robinson's home on Hickory Valley Road to rob him the next day. During the robbery attempt, Hankins shot and killed Robinson, Davis said.

Police had found Hankins by tracking down security footage that showed the getaway car fleeing the scene.

Hankins will serve 30 years in prison as part of the plea agreement approved by Judge Barry Steelman. Court cases for Hankins' alleged accomplices in the robbery and murder, Kevion Hubbard and Ticalvius Armour, are pending.
