A Hamilton County Sessions Court judge has moved the preliminary hearing for the man accused in the fatal shooting at a Roanoke Avenue business in April.

Tyrone Carmichael, 22, is in custody at the Hamilton County Jail on charges he shot and killed Cordarrius Armour, 23, at the Okie Dokie Mart on April 5.

Carmichael made a brief appearance before Sessions Court Judge Clarence Shattuck on Monday.

Carmichael's newly appointed attorney, Jonathan Turner, requested that the judge give him until June 14 to meet with his client and have a preliminary hearing on the first-degree murder and unlawful weapons possession charges.

Shattuck granted the request, with which the assistant district attorney general agreed.
