Man, woman sought in rape case

Investigators are looking for a man and woman they say were involved in a statutory rape two months ago, according to Chattanooga police.

Police say that in April someone picked up a juvenile runaway in the Alton Park area and took the runaway to the King's Lodge in Chattanooga. There an unknown man sexually assaulted the juvenile.

The man has been described as black, with black and gray hair in braids and closely trimmed facial hair. He was wearing a gray ball cap, a gray T-shirt and blue jeans.

Police say he likely is driving a white Lincoln Town Car.

Investigators also are seeking Carroll L. White, 30, whom they want for questioning in the case. She also has other warrants.

Police believe she could be staying in East Ridge or North Georgia. She is described as white, with brown hair, 5 feet 2 inches tall and 180 pounds.

Police are asking anyone with information in the case to call Crime Stoppers at 423-698-3333. They are offering a cash reward of up to $1,000.
