CLEVELAND, Tenn. - More than 30 vehicles, assorted jewelry and electronics will be auctioned Saturday at the Bradley County Sheriff's Office.

Prospective buyers can preview the vehicles today at the department's garage, a short distance from the county justice center at 2150 Blythe Ave. The auction begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, rain or shine.

Most of the vehicles were seized in drug cases, Detective Jimmy Smith said.

"It's an absolute auction," he said. "So no matter what's the high bid, it wins."

Vehicles are not the only items in the Saturday auction. Jewelry, electronics and a long list of other items ranging from bicycles to televisions and tools are being sold, too, department spokesman Bob Gault said. No firearms are being sold.

The department has resumed selling all items itself, Gault said. At one time, the department sold items other than vehicles on the Internet.

All items are being sold as-is to the highest bidder. Terms are cash or preapproved check, Gault said.

A link to a list of vehicles, photos of some vehicles and a list of other property is on the department's website, BradleySheriff.com.
