A 19-year-old man is accused of raping his girlfriend and paying another woman $35 to beat her up, according a Chattanooga Police Department arrest report.
Joshua A. MincyJoshua Aurthor Mincy, of Hixson, is charged with two counts of aggravated rape, as well as other charges including aggravated kidnapping, assault on police, vandalism and disorderly conduct.
He remains at Hamilton County Jail without bond. His next court appearance is slated for March 14.
The victim is not being named in accordance with Chattanooga Times Free Press policy.
According to the report, Mincy took his girlfriend to a residence in the 4700 block of Metro Park Lane. Once there, he argued with her for most of the night, the report said.
The next day, he told her to go into a child's bedroom, where he confronted her because he believed she was sleeping with other men. He struck her, then raped her, according to the report.
A few minutes later, he called another woman to come over and he paid her $35 to beat up his girlfriend, the report said. The other woman is not named in the report.
He then took his girlfriend back upstairs to a bedroom where he reportedly raped her, then bound and gagged her with a sock by strapping a belt around her head.
Mincy's mother came over to the residence, and they began to argue, the report said. About the same time, the bound woman was able to free herself and ran out the front door. She and Mincy's mother fled down the street with him chasing them, according to the report.
He returned to the residence, where he smashed out the windows of a van parked there, police said.
Police said they had to use a stun gun on Mincy to take him into custody. Once he was placed in the back of a patrol car, he kicked the door frame of the vehicle, causing it to bend, according to the report.
Mincy's girlfriend, who dated him for about five months prior to the incident, was taken to Erlanger hospital.
Mincy was previously arrested on Feb. 8 for aggravated assault, drug possession and contraband in a penal institution.
