Two charged in Bi-Lo robbery

A Chattanooga man and Memphis man each face two counts of aggravated robbery and 16 counts of aggravated kidnapping in connection with the armed robberies of a Super Bi-Lo and Regal Cinema, according to a Chattanooga police news release.

Christopher S. Reed, 27, of Chattanooga, and Ulysses M. Perry, 24, of Memphis, were taken into custody Thursday at a residence at 7127 Blossom Circle. Chattanooga police and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office investigated the March 8 robbery of the Ooltewah-Ringgold Road grocery store robbery and the Feb. 11 robbery of the Hamilton Place Boulevard cinema.

There is a possibility that others were involved in the robberies, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

The wreck happened at 11400 Highway 58, she said.

Investigators aren't sure why the truck veered off the highway, she said, but the investigation is ongoing.
