Police seek bank robber

Crime Stoppers and the Chattanooga Police Department Property Crimes Division are looking to identify a man who robbed the Regions Bank in a local Chattanooga neighborhood.

The incident occurred Monday at about 9:30 a.m. at the Regions Bank, 3894 Hixson Pike. A man entered the bank armed with a handgun and demanded money.

He then ordered all the customers and employees into the vault and closed the door. The robber fled the area with an undetermined amount of money.

The robber was described as a black male, 6-foot 4-inches tall, and 240-250 pounds. He was wearing large sunglasses, a dark olive-colored hoodie and a white "allergy" type mask.

Anyone who recognizes the man or has information regarding the bank robbery can call Crime Stoppers. A confidential call could make the caller eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000.
