A 16-year-old girl shot Tuesday night is home recovering, Chattanooga Police spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary said.

Police are still looking for the man who, Weary said, approached a group of girls near 4100 Angela Drive and shot into the crowd about 9:30 Tuesday night.

One of the bullets struck the 16-year-old in the leg.

The suspect was described as black, wearing a white shirt, blue denim shorts and a black bandana covering his face. He left the scene in a silver Honda Accord.
