The Dalton-Whitfield County Public Library will receive a state grant for repairs to its roof and for door upgrades to meet Americans with Disabilities Act requirements, state Rep. Roger Williams, R-Dalton, announced.

"I want to thank the Georgia Public Library Service for working with me to secure these much-needed renovation funds for our local library," he said in a news release. "The $27,634 grant, matched with local funds, will not only extend the life of our busy library but also provide local job opportunities during the renovation process."

The library, built in 1982, is at the corner of Waugh and Cappes streets.
