With a third of the votes counted in Catoosa County, Larry Black is in the lead for sheriff.
Black, the former Lookout Mountain Drug Task Force commander, is leading with 45 percent of the votes and Catoosa County Chief Deputy Gary Sisk sits in second with 22.5 percent of the votes. With 4.7 percent of the votes, retired Drug Enforcement Administration agent Ben Scott trails.
So far four of the county's 12 precincts have been counted. Catoosa County election officials say voting turnout has been higher this year compared with 2008 and 2010.
