Two charged in Alabama theft, drug case

A window installer and another man have been arrested in connection with a home burglary in Stevenson, according to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.

James Davis Waldrop, 40, of Toney, Ala., was contracted to install windows in the home where a ring valued at $3,000 and some other items were stolen, according to a sheriff's office news release.

On Tuesday, sheriff's personnel arrested Waldrop in the theft. He also was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Officers also arrested Carl Wayne Dimeck, 21, of Toney, on charges of possessing marijuana. Both men were booked at the Jackson County Jail.

The ring was recovered from a Huntsville-area pawnshop, according to the release.
