Mission Road shooting victim named; 15-year-old charged with attempted murder

The victim of yesterday's shooting at 5500 Old Mission Road has been identified as 20-year-old Antonio Jackson, Chattanooga police said today.

A 15 year-old man has been taken into custody for the shooting and has been charged with attempted first degree murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Police responded to the shooting at 3:30 p.m. yesterday. Jackson was taken to a hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

The shooting took place after an argument as the two men were walking, police said. Shots were fired near the intersection of Pisgah Avenue and Spring Garden Lane, police said.
