Volunteer tax preparers sought in Bradley County

Arkansas-Ole Miss Live Blog

Volunteers are being sought to help low-to-moderate-income families in Cleveland and Bradley County prepare their annual federal income tax returns.

City Manager Janice Casteel said volunteers will be trained free of charge by Internal Revenue Service staff on tax return preparations, income tax law and tax software.

There are benefits to volunteering, including developing computer skills, learning a valuable potential job trade and getting an IRS certification, Casteel said.

Training will begin in November.
