Good Deeds Day is an international day of volunteering that will take place next Sunday. Community volunteers will provide service to organizations in Chattanooga such as Orange Grove Center, the Chattanooga Zoo, Welcome Home, Aleph Bet Childrens' Center, the Humane Educational Society and many more.

The day will begin at the Jewish Cultural Center, 5461 North Terrace Road. Pre-registered volunteers will enjoy a light lunch, from noon to 1 p.m., receive a complimentary T-shirt and instructions to their work site. Registration takes place on line at www.jewishchattanooga.com. Walk-in volunteers are welcome. This is the third year the Jewish Federation has hosted Good Deeds Day.

The Jewish Cultural Center, funded by the Jewish Federation of Greater Chattanooga, offers programs, classes and exhibits, social services, and a preschool - all rooted in Jewish values.
