Abortion 'house of horrors'

If the killing of millions of innocent babies by abortion was not horrible enough, authorities now have accused an abortionist in Philadelphia of eight counts of murder.

No, they are not charging him for performing "ordinary" abortions that end the lives of unborn babies. Rather, they are charging him in connection with the deaths of one patient - and of seven babies who were born alive and then killed when their spinal cords were severed with scissors! The women apparently were not told their babies had been born living and then were killed, authorities said.

District Attorney Seth Williams called the abortion clinic a "house of horrors." He described scattered bags and bottles containing aborted babies.

"There were jars, lining shelves, with severed feet that [the suspect] kept for no medical purpose," the district attorney told The Associated Press.

Prosecutors said the patient who died had sought an abortion and suffered cardiac arrest when she was given too much of a drug meant to keep her sedated until the abortionist arrived.

But the tragedy doesn't end there.

Authorities say the abortionist raked in millions of dollars over decades by performing illegal late-term abortions. The AP added, "State regulators ignored complaints about him and failed to inspect his clinic since 1993."

Nine of his employees have been charged, too, including four who face murder charges. None had medical training, according to news accounts.

This is horrifying news, and we apologize for its graphic nature. But then again, even when abortion is performed in accordance with the law, it is a grisly procedure. And for the unborn, every abortion clinic is a "house of horrors."
