'Protests' and censorship

It's no secret that Israel is attacked regularly by terrorists opposed to its existence. But some less violent, though also disgusting, demonstrators recently halted the broadcast of a concert in London by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.

As the orchestra played, pro-Palestinian activists rose and began screaming and booing. Security ejected them, only to see three more groups try to drown out the orchestra. It continued to the point that the BBC, which was airing the concert live, had to halt the broadcast. So the "protests" led to outright censorship.

The only other time anyone could remember when a concert in that particular series of performances had been canceled was during the World War II Nazi bombing of London.

Ironically, for all the attacks on Israel, musicians from Communist China -- which has a vicious regime -- face no protests when they perform in the same venue, London's Telegraph newspaper reported.

We live in strange, troubling times.
