We are always concerned when fire breaks out in any kind of structure, businesses or homes or otherwise. And so it is of sad interest that fire has destroyed the Cancun Mexican Restaurant on Highway 153.
The restaurant had been closed for several years, but was being remodeled with plans to reopen soon. Then fire intervened.
"I'm angry," restaurant owner Martin Reyes lamented. "It looks like I lost everything." That is certainly a saddening personal loss. "There's no way to reopen it now," Mr. Reyes said. "This is nothing now."
Fortunately, no one was hurt. But there always is sadness when there is loss of valuable property -- and valuable plans -- because of fire.
