Show some proof of Fox News lies

With regard to (Clay) Bennett's cartoon in last Sunday's paper, Mr. Bennett implies that Fox News lies. Does Mr. Bennett have any hard evidence of this or is this just cowardly snipping? Come on, Mr. Bennett, give us some facts. Without specific details of your accusation I will assume that you are the liar.

Can you point to an example like the fake document used by Dan Rather during the Bush administration? How about some of the scandals associated with the New York Times?

Fox News has numerous left-wing contributors who show up every day, and I find Fox News to be one of two news sources with some balance. The other is the Times Free Press presenting both left- and right-wing views in the editorial section.

Vacations not really a hot letter topic

I've been amused by all the letters to the editor lately concerning President Obama's "excessive" vacations. I wonder if these same concerned citizens wrote letters when other presidents took vacations?

Obama spent 65 days on vacation in 19 months. For comparison, Bush Jr. by that point in his presidency had spent 120 days on vacation in 19 months.

I can think of 30 other better things about which to write a letter to the editor concerning Obama just off the top of my head. Vacations? Really?

Take money-making role from banks

There should only be one source of money: one fountainhead from which flows the nation's blood to vitalize commerce and industry, ensure economic equality and justice, and safeguard the welfare of the people - the prerogative of creating and issuing the money of the nation should be taken from the private banks and returned to the government.

When President Woodrow Wilson signed into law the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, he unwittingly abrogated the sovereignty of the people. The act gives the authority to create our money as interest-bearing debt to the private banking cartel in which the Fed is the leader. The Act has wrecked our economy and made a mockery of the Constitution.

Social Security, Medicare and other useful government programs aren't the cause of the massive debt in this country. What's primarily the cause of the debt is the private banking cartel issuing our money at interest. We can issue our own money without debt. This is a very wealthy country, but the wealth has been transferred from workers and consumers to bankers and the super rich who don't pay their fair share.

People, you have to realize that private bankers, elected or appointed by no one, rule the world today. See www.monetary.org.
