Family pitches in to clean up cemetery

I would like to say "thank you" to Wes, a teacher by profession and deed, and Amy Castle and their two young sons, Adin and Gavin. They have strengthened my faith in the younger generation with their kindness.

An unkempt cemetery on the corner of Fairview Road and Big Ridge Road was so neglected that tombstones were barely visible. It was an eyesore to the area. The Castles live two doors down, and they decided to take their boys and go clean off that area one evening during their summer vacation. They have no ties to the people who are buried there. Some stones date back to the early 1800s, and one Confederate soldier is at rest there. They mowed and cut the weeds, and now that is a much better-looking place.

I am proud to be the mother of Amy and the grandmother of those two wonderful grandsons!
