Picture this: It's Christmas Eve, we're going to our parents' for the annual viewing of "It's A Wonderful Life" (and obligatory marathoning of "A Christmas Story") interspersed with delicious finger foods and possibly opening one (just one!) present. But upon arrival, we discover a lack of snacks. And no heat. The power is out.

But we had an angel, disguised as an EPB worker, outside in the cold winter air. Our very own Clarence -- one Porter Condra -- coming to our George Bailey's aid in literally dark times. Porter worked tirelessly to restore our power and along with it, our dwindling Christmas spirit.

He succeeded in both aspects. We're very grateful to have had someone so pleasant and dedicated, who spent most of his own Christmas Eve saving ours. And we just wanted to recognize him for that.
