My husband laid his cell phone on top of the car and drove off. When he realized his mistake, we retraced our short trip twice and thought it was permanently lost. We even had the service disconnected because it seemed we would never find it.
But we did not know that a Good Samaritan was in the area. John Winkler from McDonald, Tenn., found our phone, called us and said he would meet us anywhere to give it to us. We met him the next morning, and he returned the phone intact.
In the midst of all the evil going on in the world, we need more honest people like John, who goes out of his way to help others.
