Good Deed: Help from strangers saves vehicle from fire damage

Good Deed
Good Deed

Several weeks ago my 30-year-old Bronco caught fire on Brainerd Road. It was almost dark and cold. I pulled into an empty parking lot, near Saks Wing Shak, even though I could barely see through the smoke engulfing the cab. The owner, Joe, and a lady who were out front immediately called 911. They ran over with a fire extinguisher.

The Chattanooga Police arrived almost immediately; Fire Station #13 arrived quickly and showed great concern in trying to save my Bronco. My son arrived, gave me the coat off of his back, and took care of my dog, as she was quite shaken (nothing like a 60-pound dog trying to get away from danger).

There isn't one mark on my Bronco from the fire!

We appreciated every kindness shown to us by everyone who helped that night. We are so grateful. Jesus had you at the right place, at the right time, to be a miracle and a blessing.
