Hunger exists in every county in the U.S., affecting 48 million Americans including 15 million children, according to the Feeding America website.

In honor of national Hunger Action Month in September, BASF rallied employees at its two manufacturing sites in Chattanooga to donate more than 800 pounds of food to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank.

The donation will supply 682 meals for the community.

BASF team members also volunteered hours of time to package food at the food bank for the hungry in the area.
