On Dec. 2, Fort Oglethorpe First Baptist Church was blessed to serve 1,850 Christmas meals to families in our North Georgia community.
Thanks to our kitchen committee, Jeff and Michelle Fletcher, Jeff Wright, Tim Banister and Jim Ogden; The Challenge Class; and 60 church members, along with volunteers from the community, who cooked, assembled and delivered the meals.
We wish to thank Fort Oglethorpe Walmart for its generous donation, and Jack Goodlet of Park Place Restaurant for the smoked turkeys he cooked to help in support of our local community.
