Good Deed: Local YMCA member donates winnings to Toys For Tots

After reading Times Free Press reporter Shelly Bradbury's Dec. 17 article, "Toys for Tots; Marines need help packing donated Christmas toys," I felt compelled to share the good deeds of one of our North River YMCA members.

John Donovan, a young man with severe arthritis, spends his time and money visiting area businesses during the year to play their "claw machines." At Christmas time, he donates all of his winnings to the Toys for Tots program.

I am the father of a career Marine, who has seen first-hand how the Toys for Tots program benefits so many.
