Correction

Our editorial yesterday on the Election Commission's handling of the mayoral recall mistakenly said Election Commissioner James Anderson was among the Republicans who advanced the recall. We meant to say Republican Ruth Braly, not James Anderson, in that sentence. Commissioner Anderson, a Democrat, vigorously opposed certain actions taken by the Republican majority of the commission on the recall issue. He also submitted a written argument opposing the legal challenge to the state's recall law advanced by the Republican majority of the five-member Election Commission. We regret the error and are glad to offer a correction.
